By enrolling my child in the P.A.P.E. Academy, I understand and agree to the following:

1. Attendance

  • Students are expected to attend all scheduled program days unless excused.

  • Parents/guardians must notify Academy staff if their child will be absent or arrive late.

  • Excessive absences may affect participation in special events, field trips, or future enrollment.

2. Behavior Expectations

Students are expected to:

  • Show respect to staff, volunteers, fellow students, and community members.

  • Follow directions the first time they are given.

  • Use appropriate language and behavior at all times.

  • Help create a positive and safe environment.

Bullying, fighting, threats, harassment, vandalism, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.

3. Zero-Tolerance Policy

The following may result in immediate suspension or dismissal from the Academy:

  • Possession of weapons.

  • Illegal drugs, alcohol, or vaping products.

  • Physical violence.

  • Theft.

  • Intentional destruction of property.

  • Repeated severe misconduct.

4. Personal Property

Students are responsible for their personal belongings. The P.A.P.E. Academy is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged items.

5. Electronics & Cell Phones

Cell phones and electronic devices may only be used with staff permission or during designated times. Excessive use may result in temporary confiscation until dismissal.

6. Pick-Up & Drop-Off

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring students are dropped off and picked up on time.

Only authorized individuals listed on the registration form may pick up a student unless prior approval is given.

7. Medical Emergencies

In the event of an emergency, Academy staff may seek medical treatment if a parent or emergency contact cannot be reached. Parents are responsible for any medical expenses incurred.

8. Field Trips

Students participating in off-site activities must have a signed permission form on file. Transportation may be provided by approved Academy staff or authorized partners.

9. Photo & Video Release

Parents may choose whether or not to allow photographs or videos of their child to be used for Academy promotional materials, social media, newsletters, or educational purposes.

10. Liability

While every reasonable precaution is taken to ensure student safety, participation in Academy activities involves inherent risks. Parents acknowledge these risks and agree not to hold the P.A.P.E. Academy, its staff, volunteers, board members, or partnering organizations liable for injuries or accidents except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

11. Parent Partnership

Parents agree to:

  • Maintain current emergency contact information.

  • Communicate concerns respectfully with Academy staff.

  • Support Academy expectations at home.

  • Encourage regular attendance and participation.

12. Program Changes

The P.A.P.E. Academy reserves the right to modify schedules, activities, locations, policies, or procedures as necessary for the safety and success of the program.

13. Dismissal Policy

The Academy reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any participant whose behavior continually threatens the safety, learning environment, or well-being of others.

Refund Policy

The P.A.P.E. Academy strives to provide high-quality programming for every participant.

Registration Fees

Registration fees are non-refundable once a participant has been accepted into the program because funds are used to purchase program materials, insurance, supplies, student support expenses, and more.

Program Cancellation

If the Academy cancels a program before it begins, families will receive either:

  • A full refund, or

  • The option to transfer the payment to another program.

Participant Withdrawal

If a participant withdraws after the program begins, registration fees are generally non-refundable.

Requests for exceptions due to serious illness, family emergency, or other extraordinary circumstances may be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Dismissal

Participants dismissed for violations of Academy policies are not eligible for refunds.

Donations

All donations made to the P.A.P.E. Academy are voluntary and non-refundable unless required by law.
